Crop Report: Fall Harvest

Happy November! Thanks for checking in! Here's our weekly update on all things apples.

Things start to calm down a little for us as we move into late fall. We have been picking lots of Goldrush this week as well as another late variety, Ida Red. These chilly rainy days have us thumbing through all of our favorite holiday cookbooks. Is it thanksgiving yet?? Some of our favorite apple recipes coming your way soon!

Don't forget that we shifted hours today. November hours:

Monday - Friday: 10am - 5pm

Saturday: 10am - 5pm

Sunday: 11am - 5pm

It was a wonderful year for apples. We had a fantastic crop! There are still lots of varieties to choose from in our farm market. Apples are available by the bushel for those who are feeling a little ambitious. Sauce, apple butter..hmmm so many choices. We will have plenty of your favorite apple varieties available well through the holiday season.

We will be doing u-pick apples this weekend (as weather permits)

Variety: Goldrush

When: Saturday 10am - 4pm and Sunday 11am - 5pm

This will probably be our last weekend for u-pick so be sure to check apple picking off your fall bucket list!

New varieties to look for this weekend:

Idared: Idared is very, firm, crisp, and juicy. Great all-purpose apples that are sweetly tart and deliciously spicy. Idareds are especially good for baking and eating. This is another late variety that is known to increase flavor while kept in storage.
