Crop Report: Fresh Picked Summer Produce

Hi everyone! Thanks for checking in! We've been so happy to see so many familiar faces this past week. Our customers are a perfect reminder of why we love what we do!

We have lots of delicious summer produce available in our farm market. Everything has been great so far, it's wonderful to have fresh produce again! Our favorites so far have been, peaches, watermelon and tomatoes. A list of all produce available in our farm market to follow.

The rain has been keeping us out of the orchard the past few days. In the next couple weeks we will be grinding down to get the apples thinned. For the apple geeks, when apple tress put on fruit there are more apples than the tree can handle. We go through and remove up to two-thirds of the apples by hand before they reach maturity. This allows the remaining apples to grow to a good size and have more flavor. It's a very tedious process but well worth it!
