Crop Report: U-Pick Apples

We are very excited to share that our orchard will be open for apple picking this weekend! Head out to our farm for a great early autumn activity with family and friends! More details on u-pick to follow.

If you are new to the crop report, welcome! This is the place to look for all of our farm updates. Our crop report goes out each week during the season on Thursday or Friday. It's a great way to stay in the loop and make sure you're not missing out on your favorite produce and apple varieties as they harvest throughout the season.

Autumn has arrived here at our farm. There is so much to look for to as we head into the holiday weekend. We harvested several new apple varieties this week that are now available in our Farm Market. Full list of apple varieties and locally grown produce below.

This will most likely be the last weekend for peaches, get them while you can!

In addition to harvesting apples we have also been picking some of our early pumpkins. It's time to start decorating for fall! We plan to open our u-pick pumpkin patch in the next couple weeks, they are still a pretty green! Stay posted for details.

New apple varieties from this week's harvest:

Jonathan (available in our Farm Market and for U-Pick) is known to be one of the best apples for pie. It is a great all-purpose apple. Firm, crisp, and sweetly tart with a bit of spice.

Jonamac is a good all-purpose apple. It's a cross between Jonathan and McIntosh. Firm, mildly tart and juicy.

Gala is best for eating or adding to salads. Crisp, juicy and sweet.

Golden Supreme is most similar to Golden (Yellow) Delicious. It is crisp with mild tartness. Good all-purpose apple.
