Crop Report: Sweet Southern Peaches

Thanks for checking in this week! Lots of delicious locally grown produce to look for in our Farm Market as we head into the weekend. Stop by for some of your summertime favorites! Full list of produce available to follow.

We hope you've been staying cool during this heatwave! We were so happy to finally get a little rain this week, our crops really needed it! Our berries are loving these sunny days, they still need some more time before they are ready to harvest. We hope to start u-pick in a couple weeks, we will keep you updated!

Interested in freezing or canning peaches? We offer 25 pound boxes of tree ripened southern peaches for $35. Just ask when you stop in!

Locally grown green beans are in but we are still waiting on sweet corn. Due to late spring frosts everything is a little behind this year. We hope to have Brentlinger's sweet corn available early next week. We will send out a supplemental email when it gets here!

We are still taking orders for tart Michigan cherries. The deadline to get on the list is July 15th. Give us as call, send an email or stop in to place your order. Cherries come fresh and pitted in 10 pound buckets. The cherries have already been pitted and are super easy to split up to freeze or share!

Summer has us obsessing over peach themed desserts. We love the simplicity of Peach Thyme Shortcake from Halfbaked Harvest. But if we are honest, most days end with a scoop of vanilla ice cream topped with fresh peaches. Thats the stuff we wait for all year long!

Sometimes it's hard to find the time but when we do we love to put up some of our summer favorites to enjoy through the winter and spring. This recipe for dill pickles from Love and Lemons is quick and easy! They are a great cool addition to lunch or dinner!

We hope you have a wonderful weekend!
