Crop Report: Autumn Apple Picking

Happy fall y'all! Saturday marks the first day of autumn and it's looking like it will be the perfect fall weekend. Hello sweater weather! Celebrate autumn by heading out to our orchard this weekend to pick your own apples. We will have several varieties to choose from this weekend, more info on u-pick to follow.

We pressed cider on Tuesday and will be pressing again on Saturday. Our cider is pressed in small batches to ensure the highest quality.

We switched to our fall hours this week.

Monday - Saturday: 9am - 7pm

Sunday: 11am - 5pm

Apple Picking:

We will have apple picking on Saturday & Sunday. Saturday: 9am - 6pm and Sunday: 11am - 4pm.

Varieties: Jonagold, Yellow Delicious, Melrose

Pricing: Peck (10 lbs.) for $20 Half Peck (5 lbs.) $12

Summer produce is winding down but we still have plenty of yummy things to choose from. Our heirloom tomatoes and chili peppers are going crazy! Homemade salsa? Be sure to get summer favs while they last!

New varieties to look for this weekend:

We've just started to harvest the following varieties and we still need to wash and grade them. Whats grading? We wash the apples and sort through to find the very best. Apple seconds (apples with blemishes) are used to make apple cider. We should have them for sale by Saturday but if you want to double check give us a call or shoot us an email.

  • Crimson Crisp: Crimson Crisp is a great eating apple, it has a rich slightly spicy flavor.

  • Autumn Crisp: Very crisp, sweet and tart notes, juicy. Great for baking!
