Crop Report: U-Pick Goldrush Apples

October 18, 2018

Staying warm this week with hot apple cider and butternut squash soup. This chilly weather is inspiring us to cook up all of our fall favorites. It's a great time for homemade pies, butters, and apple sauce. Don't miss out on all of the great cooking apple varieties available now!

Bundle up this weekend and head out to the orchard for pick your own Goldrush. Yes, Goldrush! Goldrush is an absolute favorite around here. It is an excellent all-purpose apple and a great keeper. It's our most planted variety, they are loved! Based on our picking schedule we will not have Goldrush available in our farm market until next week.

There are still lots of great pumpkins in our u-pick pumpkin patch. Halloween is right around the corner! If you haven't picked out the perfect carving pumpkin yet, now is the time! Our u-pick patch is open 7 days a week.

La Pamapa Mobile will be set up Friday: 4pm - 7pm and Saturday: 12pm - 5pm. Mariano's wood fired food is a great treat after a day of picking apples and pumpkins!

Two of our vendors, Rezas Roast Coffee and Husk Pottery, will be set up this weekend. It's a great opportunity to chat with some of our local vendors and learn a bit more about their awesome products!

New varieties this weekend:

Empire: Empire is a cross between Red Delicious and McIntosh. It is crisp, juicy, and sweet with a hint of spice. Empire is best for eating. It's a great snack apple!

Varieties coming soon:

Goldrush, Winesap, Pink Lady

U-Pick Apples:
