Crop Report: Locally Grown Produce

Hey there, thanks for checking in! We hope you all had a wonderful 4th of July. Ours was filled with lots of food, family and of course, fireworks!

There's a bunch of new produce to look for in our farm market this weekend. We're very excited to announce that we will be carrying a wide variety of locally grown organic produce. A list of all produce available to follow.

This week's batch of tree ripened peaches have been fantastic! The variety is Contender. We still have peaches available in the 25-30 lb. boxes for $30. This freestone variety is great for canning and freezing!

This week we were able to visit two local business that we collaborate with, Caesar Creek Vineyards and Reza's Downtown. Both are such beautiful locations and definitely worth a stop! Caesar Creek Vineyards handcrafted a hard cider with our Goldrush apples that is out of this world. This is our 3rd year selling Reza's Roast coffee beans. Its been so fun to watch their business grow over the past few years. Look for more Peifer & Reza collaborations soon!

It's time to put in your orders for tart pitted cherries! Here's the scoop, they come fresh in 10 pound buckets. If 10 pounds sounds like too much, they can always be split up into smaller quantities and shared with family and friends. They freeze well too! Send us an email or give us a call to put your name on the list! They should be here Mid-July.

Now is the time to start thinking about canning tomatoes. We are starting to take orders for those interested. They come in 25 lb. boxes. Send us an email or give us a call to get on the list for the best prices on canners!

We hope to have sweet corn next week. Due to all of the rain sweet corn is a bit behind this year. It's been a tough year for all local farmers. Stay posted for an update on sweet corn.

Stop by and see us this weekend!
