Crop Report: Locally Grown Heirloom Tomatoes

The locally grown heirloom tomatoes have been fantastic! If you're unfamiliar with heirlooms, don't let the appearance scare you away! They may not look like a perfect red tomato but their flavor is out of this world! We love them for everything from sliced with mozzarella to chopped up in salsa. We got a delivery of orchard gear from Basho Apparel (YS) this week. New to our collection is the "Love Your Mother" design, we are in love! Hoping many of you have already gotten the memo but if not, it came to our attention earlier this week that some of the peaches from days prior may not have been up to our standards. We got in a new batch of Red Haven peaches on Tuesday from a different orchard that have been beautiful, juicy and full of flavor. Northern peaches of this quality will be available in our farm market until at least labor day weekend. For those who purchased peaches over the past several days that they are unhappy with please stop by so we can make it right. We appreciate your support and understanding!
Our blackberries are starting to ripen! It will be a pretty small crop this year but what we have looks great. Our spring berry planting is coming along nicely, we could just use a little more rain! Fingers crossed for next year, we hope to have a good crop of black raspberries, red raspberries and blackberries. Berries should also be available for u-pick in 2020.
Get artsy this fall! We are very excited to share two local art collaborations coming to our farm in September and November. Workshops are welcome to all, no experience necessary!

In our world you simply can't go wrong with a pasta tomato combo. Halfbaked Harvest's Cherry Tomato Pasta was a crowd pleaser this week. Toss in some heirlooms for an extra rich flavor!
Buttermilk biscuits with fresh berries and whipped cream is also on the menu because everyone needs a cheat day! Treat yourself to this scrumptious dessert from The Feed Feed. Fresh blueberries and blackberries have been amazing! We're always snacking!
