Crop Report

Thanks for checking in! Yay, finally some MUCH needed rain this week! These brisk mornings have us thinking fall. So many exciting things to come! However, we don't want to get too ahead of ourselves, there's still plenty of delicious locally grown summer produce to enjoy while it's here! Full list of what to find in our farm market this weekend to follow.

This week has been full of harvesting. We've been picking lots of winter squash and we've just started getting into the pumpkin patches, yes pumpkins! Pumpkins will be available at our farm market soon and Pumpkin picking will begin shortly after in mid September. Stay posted!

We're taking advantage of this gorgeous day out in the orchard. Even Tucker, our chocolate lab pup, has been doing his part to "help".

Sunflower fanatics, just a little bit longer until the Tecumseh Land Trust field across the street is in bloom! The sunflowers are estimated to start blooming Labor Day weekend and usually stay in bloom for a few weeks.

Here are a couple late summer recipes that are just too good not to try. Spicy Tomato Parmesan Stuffed Spaghetti Squash by Halfbaked Harvest is delicious and simple.

We've had lots of yummy stone fruits in our farm market this summer. The plums have been amazing! Plum and Peach Galette from the Feed Feed is a must while these fruits are in season. Links to recipes below.
