We've been loving these beautiful days out in the orchard and picking apples as much as possible while this weather lasts! Today we are picking Jonathan. Look for Jonathan apples in our farm market in the next few days.
Peaches are starting to wind down so be sure to get your fix before the season is over! We still have 25-30 pound boxes of peaches for $30 for those interested in canning or freezing.
The Tecumseh Land Trust SUNFLOWERS ARE IN BLOOM! Sunflowers usually stay in bloom for a couple weeks. A huge shout out to our local non-profit, Tecumseh Land Trust, for planting these beautiful flowers every year. It's breathtaking!
On September 14th we will be hosting a watercolor workshop with Bley Hack. There are only a couple spots left so be sure to sign up soon! Here's a link with more info, https://www.eventbrite.com/e/paint-the-yellow-springs-sunflowers-tickets-67468517151

We are so excited for fall! Each week brings more and more fall flavors. Many of our early apple varieties are great for baking, sauce and apple butter. We always recommend a mix of varieties for baking and cooking to create a more complex flavor. Here are a couple recipes from Halfbaked Harvest and the Smitten Kitchen to welcome fresh picked apples back into the kitchen. Links for Maple Apple Butter and Whole Wheat Apple Muffin recipes below.
