Crop Report: Farm Fresh Blueberries

Thanks for checking in this week! Delicious summer produce staples to look for in our Farm Market as we head into the weekend. Not sure about you but a caprese salad with Ohio grown tomatoes is calling our name! Full list of produce available to follow.

The past few days have been absolutely beautiful and we've been loving every minute! Summer in the apple orchard consists of long days tending to the trees to get them ready for Fall. As you know, Ohio summer days without too much humidity are hard to come by so we are using up every bit of this weather that we can! Our apples are looking good! We hope to have a great crop this year!

Now is the time to start freezing and canning peaches! If you're looking for a larger quantity, we offer 25 pound boxes of Georgia peaches for $35. Peaches are also available in our Farm Market by the pound and peck boxes (10 pounds). Slice up some peaches and freeze them for your next smoothie, SO GOOD!

We are still taking orders for tart pitted Michigan cherries. Cherries come fresh picked in 10 pound buckets. Give us a call, send an email or stop in to put your name on the list! They will arrive in two deliveries, mid and late July.

Here are a couple of the items on our menu this weekend, we love incorporating fresh produce into our kitchen!

Blueberry Swirl Coffee Cake Muffins for Saturday breakfast? Yes please! These muffins are easy to make and even better with fresh blueberries. They are the perfect start to a weekend summer morning! Recipe link to follow.

To say that we love caprese is an understatement, we are obsessed! It's hands down our summer lunch or dinner go to! This caprese sandwich is delish and even better with vine ripe Ohio tomatoes! Recipe to follow.
