Crop Report: Late Autumn Apples

Thanks for checking in the week! We used every bit of the beautiful weather on Monday and Tuesday to pick Goldrush. We still have quite a bit of picking to do. Late fall weather has officially arrived. Hope you all are staying warm. Full list of apple varieties and produce available in our Farm Market to follow.

We are so happy to have Goldrush again, it's been too long! Goldrush will be available in our Farm Market through December. Goldrush is an excellent keeper, if stored correctly they can last up to 7 months. We recommend Goldrush for just about everything, it's an excellent all-purpose apple.

Stop in this weekend to try EverCrisp, a cross between Honeycrisp and Fuji. We were able to get a bin of this new Ohio apple variety from another orchard in Northern Ohio. We're interested in planting our own EverCrisp trees, let us know what you think!

French Onion and Apple Grilled Cheese is the perfect addition to soup night! These chilly days ahead call for a hot cup of soup. We recommend Melrose, Goldrush and/or Suncrisp for this recipe.

We can't think of anything more delicious for Sunday brunch than a Cinnamon Apple Puffed Pancake. We recommend Goldrush and/or Suncrisp for this recipe with just a touch of pure Ohio maple syrup drizzled on top..perfection!

When cooking and baking we always recommend a blend of apple varieties. Multiple varieties will build a more complex flavor, your tastebuds will be amazed!

We will be shifting to our late fall hours this coming week. Don't forget to set back your clocks Saturday night! We will be open seven days a week through December. Our last day of the season will be Sunday, December 22, 2019.
