Crop Report: Georgia Peaches

Thanks for checking in this week! We hope you enjoyed the beautiful weather this week as much as we did. As we head into this weekend's heat wave, a day by the pool sounds just right! We're thinking Frosted Watermelon Frosé might be our ticket to a chill weekend. Full list of produce available in our Farm Market and a recipe for Watermelon Frosé to follow.

We are still taking orders for Michigan cherries. Here's the scoop:

  • Tart Cherries. Excellent for pies and desserts.

  • Cherries are fresh (not frozen)

  • Already pitted - this might be the best part!

  • 10 or 30 pound buckets

  • Pricing will be determined after harvest. Ten pound buckets are typically around $30.

  • Cherries arrive mid-July. We will contact you as soon as they get here.

Feeling like 10 pounds of cherries might be more than you can handle? Split them with a friend! Because the cherries arrive fresh AND pitted they are very easy to split up. You can also freeze the cherries and enjoy them later in the season. Call, email, or stop in to get on the list!

There's still time to go but so far our berry crop is looking great! We hope to start U-Pick berries at the end of July. Stay posted!

Here's some inspiration for your weekend menu from Half Baked Harvest and Love & Lemons. We love Sunday morning pancakes and nothing beats fresh blueberries. This recipe for blueberry banana pancakes looks amazing! Links to recipes below pictures.
